Highlight
Every three years, Nördlingen steps back into the Middle Ages for a weekend. Traditional craftspeople, historical musicians and travelling entertainers fill the old town. The festival opens on Friday, 10 September 2027, at 18:00. Saturday brings the traditions parade, followed by Sunday’s highlight: the festival parade with more than 2,500 participants, and a ceremonial tattoo to close the festivities that evening. Several thousand costumed residents welcome you under the motto ‘A Town Experiences Its History’.
